Now the entire ejector tube assembly (#143), (#164) and (#135) may be pulled to the right side until it separates from the barrel. The ejector rod (not numbered) is removed by pushing the rod to the rear and clamping it in a padded vise or holding it with a padded pair of pliers. Now unscrew the ejector rod from the assembly by turning it counterclockwise until the rod unscrews from the head (#164). Use a small screwdriver to hold the ejector spring (#135) captive and slide the ejector head (#164) forward, noting its position for reassembly.

Pull it out through the slot in the ejector tube (#143). The spring (#135) may be removed out the front of the tube and the rod pulled out the rear of the tube. The loading gate: Under the frame bulge on the right side you will notice a small screw. This is the gate spring screw (#145). Unscrew and remove the screw (#145) and remove the gate spring (#136). Unscrew and remove the gate screw (#675) and the loading gate itself (#142) will come off toward the front. To disassemble the Uberti-Cimarron hammer (#2): The hammer safety bar (#91) may be removed by unscrewing and removing the hammer safety stop screw (#152) and lifting out the hammer safety bar (#91) and the safety pin and spring (#149 and #147).

3 To remove the grip and grip straps: These revolvers are equipped with one-piece grips that may be disassembled thus: Unscrew and remove the two backstrap screws (#32) from the top-rear of the backstrap (#8) and, remove the single butt-screw (#31) from the butt or bottom of the backstrap. The backstrap (#8) and the one-piece grip (#11) are now removed by pulling them down and to the rear as a unit. Once the subassembly is off the frame, the grip itself (#11) may be pulled straight forward off the backstrap.
