And more than 50 biorefineries are being built across North America to test and refine technologies to produce biofuels and chemicals from renewable biomass, which can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Similarly, engaging with media representations of transgender people, sociological scholarship should look into the challenges of master status/ categories and how the gender and sexual marginalized might be creating nuanced ways of relating to their space and community in ways that do not exclude male or female (I believe Halberstam’s 2005 book begins to do just that).
