If it is a bolt-together system, either plan on welding it solid or, better yet, consider changing to another vendor that has a welded system.

This can be accomplished either by using one thick plate that is the thickness of the bearing or by using two plates with two bearings installed. One of the two plates will need to be the proper length and width, but the second need only be a smaller square or rectangular piece of material bolted to the larger plate in the area that houses the bearings.
